Ferry Forecasts
IRN have formally launched its new forecast reports for passenger and freight traffic on UK ferries. The passenger report (Ferrystat Seasonal and Forecast Report) and the freight report (Freighstat Seasonal and Forecast Report) are published on a quarterly basis: January (data to December), May (data to April), July (data to June) and October (data to September). Both reports feature seasonally adjusted data, data on the underlying trend of business and forecasts (on a monthly basis) for the coming 12 months.
Ferrystat Seasonal and Forecast Report
The passenger report (and associated spreadsheet) shows seasonally adjusted data for the main ferry routes based on the monthly figures generated by IRN’s monthly passenger ferry survey (Ferrystat). Data is shown for passengers, cars and coaches for the UK-Continental (Short sea, North Sea and Western Channel), UK-Ireland (Northern, Central and Southern) and Domestic (Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scotland) routes. Data tables are supported by Figures showing the reported, seasonally adjust and trend data. The report has forecasts for passengers, cars and coaches for the above routes for the coming 12 months on a monthly basis, with data tables supported by Figure showing the forecast mid-estimates and the upper and lower bounds of the forecasts.
Freightstat Seasonal and Forecast Report
The freight report (and associated spreadsheet) shows seasonally adjusted total freight data for the main ferry routes based on the monthly figures generated by IRN’s monthly freight survey (Freightstat). Data is shown for total freight units for the UK-Continental (Short sea and Western Channel) and UK-Ireland (Northern, Central and Southern). Data tables are supported by Figures showing the reported, seasonally adjust and trend data. the report shows forecasts for freight for the above routes for the coming 12 months on a monthly basis, with data tables supported by Figure showing the forecast mid-estimates and the upper and lower bounds of the forecasts.
Ferrystat Seasonal and Forecast report costs £500 for an annual subscription, or £150 for a single quarterly report (prices excl VAT)
Freightstat Seasonal and Forecast report costs £250 for an annual subscription, or £90 for a single quarterly report (prices excl VAT)
